The UZH Foundation is responsible for coordination and liaison between UZH and the Baugarten Foundation.

Deadlines for submitting your grant application to the UZH Foundation:
December 8, 2025
April 1, 2026
July 15, 2026
Please note that these dates are the latest possible deadlines. The earlier you start the application process, the more time you will have to submit your grant application on time and in full.
The Baugarten Foundation will only accept applications from UZH with a letter of recommendation from the Vice President for Research, Professor Elisabeth Stark. This letter of recommendation will be obtained by the UZH Foundation and enclosed with your application. This will highlight the strategic importance of the proposed research for UZH.
The allocation of funding will be decided at the three meetings of the Baugarten Foundation's Board of Trustees.

The Baugarten Foundation informs the UZH Foundation whether the funding application has been accepted or rejected.
The UZH Foundation will notify the applicant whether the grant application has been accepted or rejected.
