The Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich (CCCZ) has launched the C3Z Clinician Scientist Program, an innovative support program that gives young doctors in oncology the opportunity to carry out their own research projects during their specialist training. This allows them to combine clinical experience with scientific work and make a decisive contribution to the further development of cancer medicine.
Supporting these clinician scientists is crucial to counteracting the shortage of oncologists engaged in scientific work and to strengthening the link between excellent research and patient care in Zurich in the long term. With five fellowships per year, the CCCZ is gradually establishing an international oncology talent hub that supports young talent with innovative approaches.
Each fellowship guarantees up to 50% protected research time, enables participation in international conferences, and provides access to a broad scientific network. In this way, we create the best conditions for groundbreaking projects that directly contribute to improving cancer therapies and the quality of life of patients.

In order for the program to grow, we rely on private support. A fellowship costs CHF 57,750 per year. Your donation gives a talented young physician the freedom they need to conduct excellent research.
With your support, you will help train the next generation of cancer researchers, advance clinically relevant research, and strengthen Zurich's position as a leading international center for oncology. Together, we can shape the cancer medicine of tomorrow – for the benefit of patients and society as a whole.
Interested candidates can find more information about the application process at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich.
